some spiritual books aren’t meant to be understood yet

I’m writing this article because each time I read The Power of Now I literally get brand new insights that I never got before. Sometimes some books, even ones people rave about, don’t fully resonate with us. And that’s okay! Sometimes they are not meant to make sense to us yet at that point in our lives.

Keep the books, read them later, there will probably be hidden gems in there that you weren’t able to fully digest before. And other times we get obsessed over new concepts - at least I do - only to find later on that we totally forgot about them or forgot to put them into practice in our own lives, like living in the moment and what that means in terms of actually doing it- or more, being it.

Re-reading books is a great way to get more juiciness out of them and since we are always evolving and growing - at least I hope we are! - it will usually have a deeper meaning or more depth in it than it did before. Sort of like if you’ve been to therapy and talked about your childhood you’re able to describe things you felt back then into words now, but back then you couldn’t really describe some things. Because you didn’t know enough yet. That same concept can be applied to books.

I think that we can only resonate with things that are at least a close vibrational match to us. I think that as we grow, learn, evolve, change that we start to attract different levels of things, people, places, events. And sometimes it’s best to put things down and have hope that you can come back to them later and get even more out of them.

I hope you loved this article.
